Pastor Windell W. Lyne, a native Jamaican, gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ at a very early age. He was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1977, and since that time, he has been steadfast in fulfilling his calling to win souls for the Kingdom. Pastor Lyne is the founder and Senior Pastor of House of Bread Ministries, Inc., in the Bronx, and Mount Vernon New York.

Pastor Lyne’s ministry began at an early age when his then pastor, the late Levi G. Barrett, saw a young man with the fire of God on his life, and appointed him the Young People’s President of his local church. From that early beginning, he went on to serve as the district, national, and international Youth Pastor and Youth Camp Director in the Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus International. He also worked in many other departments of the church, including Men’s Fellowship, Missions, and Sunday School.

His fervor and love for the Lord led Pastor Lyne to further prepare himself for the ministry by enrolling in Caribbean Christ for the Nation Bible Institute. There, he studied the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and in 1994, he was ordained a Minister of the Gospel. Before taking the helm of House of Bread, Pastor Lyne served his home church as a minister, and later, as its full-time pastor for three years.

Pastor Lyne’s spiritual background in the ministry coupled with his secular background in the insurance, securities, and banking industries prepared him to handle the spiritual, administrative, and business aspects of church leadership. Shortly after migrating to the United States, Pastor Lyne answered his call to set up a church home in the Bronx, New York, and in 2008, House of Bread Ministries was born. Through his bold, principled leadership, House of Bread has grown from a weekly family prayer meeting to a ministry dedicated to serving the Bronx community and the surrounding areas. Pastor Lyne has also taken his mission to teach and spread the Gospel to South Florida, where he recently expanded the House of Bread family to Key West.

Although he has been commissioned by God to minister to the community at large, Pastor Lyne has a special place in his heart for the work of the Missions Department. Under his leadership, House of Bread has partnered with a number of local charitable organizations and programs to bring hope, and spread the good news of the Gospel to some of society’s most vulnerable. Included among those are the Yankees Food Drive, the Presbott Foundation, Boulevard Shelter for Men, Second Chance, Inc., and the Williamsbridge Family Inn.

Pastor Lyne is humbled and honored that God has chosen him as the anointed shepherd to lead the congregation of the House of Bread in such a time as this – a time of hope and expectancy, a time of renewal and rejuvenation, a time of transformation and redemption.

He received his Bachelor of Science from Mercy College  and his Master’s Degree in Marrage and Family Theraphy from Nyack College. Pastor Lyne offers pre-marital counseling and is certified under PREPARE/ENRICH.  He is currently  perusing his license in the State of New York. Pastor is Notary public  and a Chaplain in the state of New York. A devout husband, Pastor Lyne has been married to Evangelist Jacqueline Lyne for 34 years. They are the proud parents of four children and four grandchildren.
